If I manage to get an early +Agi on a blitzer, what role should he take? Thrower, to open up a passing game for a team that otherwise wouldn't have much of one? Sacker, to stay mobile and potentially dodge into cages to put down ball carriers? Carrier, to allow easy pickups and to keep the ball moving, even out of tackle zones?īlockers and linemen have a much more straightforward progression (guard, stand firm, maybe some mighty blow or tackle for the former, dirty player on a couple, kick on one, wrestle/block for the rest for the latter), but the blitzers are so crucial for this team to do well, it seems really important to level them well.
Would it be better to get dodge on all of them, then put sure hands on the next one to level, or do you want sure hands early to get a dedicated ball carrier going? Although it would be nice to have sure hands on one guy. Would it be a good idea to do this with the other roster as well, or is four rerolls overkill, and would I be wasting a skill-up that could instead make a nice early blodger?Īs for the other blitzers, dodge seems like a perfect first skill for all of them, barring stat +1s. If I do go with the second option I'll be looking to score twice with one blitzer in my first game to put Leader on him right away to counteract the lack of rerolls. But then, blitzers are going to be total SPP hogs in this team anyway, so maybe it's not such a big deal to start with only three? I feel like I'll be trying to feed touchdowns to my blockers at first anyway just so they don't get left behind. With the second build, though, you get the maximum number of blitzers from the start, which means they'll get SPP faster and earlier. I feel like the first option is good because of more rerolls (obviously) and more cheap linemen for screening off my important guys. So I think I've narrowed it down to either a three blitzer, three blocker, five lineman, three reroll, one apo squad, or a four blitzer, three blocker, four lineman, two reroll, one apo squad. Brets also have quite pricey rerolls, so as many as possible at team creation seems like a really good idea. Kill my dirty peasants all you like, but the knights are just too expensive to have to replace. So yeah, any help would be appreciated.įor my starting roster I've decided I really want an apothecary from the get-go, because in a short league if one of my blitzers gets killed in game one my team is really gonna be on the back foot straight away. There's not so much info around on this team, since they're pretty new to Blood Bowl and still not officially official, and what's more, half the info out there is based on the team before their blitzers got the crucial Agi access on normal rolls.
Hey so I'm thinking of starting a Bretonnian team for my next private league entry in BB2, and I have a few questions about starting roster and early skill-ups.
